Hacker's posting contains a list of 8 million passwords on web forum run by a company in Moscow. Meanwhile, the eHarmony also confirmed that a small base of users who become victims of hackers.
"After investigating the report password problems, we have found that a small portion of the user base has been affected," he wrote in a posting eHarmony's blog, as reported by the Telegraph, Sunday (06/10/2012).
The popular dating site also said it would contact the members of the affected and reset their passwords.
Meanwhile, LinkedIn who also suffered a similar fate immediately disable passwords that supposedly affected these security problems. "Our first priority is to protect the account lock and key word leaked out. We are canceling their password and send a message tells you how to reset the password," says Vicente Silveira LinkedIn Director in his blog. (adl)
